@Gusman I know you're joking, and it is somewhat funny, but unfortunately a lot of people say that and they mean it. Because, as with most disagreements of this kind in which the factual cogency of a claim is called into question, the only thing that the opposing side needs to do to "win" is to convince people that the jury is still out. So in other words, climate science deniers don't need to convince the undecided that climate change is a hoax, but rather all they need to do is coerce them to believe that we're still not quite sure. It MIGHT be true, but it also might NOT be true. And as long as that notion is common, they're winning, because the presence of even a small amount of doubt prevents people from acting upon the problem.

@AmyEssexGirl ^What she said. The climate DOES change as a continuous cycle. But based on past cyclical climate activity, it should be changing in a certain way right now, and it's not changing in that way, it's changing in the opposite way.

Exhibit A: Sunspot activity. The more sunspots that Sol currently possesses, the higher its magnetic activity, and the higher the magnetic activity, the hotter the star gets. Meaning at peak sunspot activity, the Earth gets warmer from an excess of solar radiation, and at its lowest sunspot activity, the planet cools down.

Sol is magnetically dormant right now, with very little sunspot activity. And yet Earth is seeing an increase in global temperature. So that means something ELSE is causing our planet to warm up...
