Do you wait in front of stores for Black Friday?

Poll - Total Votes: 20
Yes, and I’ll trample anyone who gets in my way when the doors open.
No, there’s nothing in any store worth risking my life over.

Even as a much younger man i hated crowds and would not go to a crowded mall or store even if they were giving it all away.Period! Have a happy Thanksgiving!
SW-User
That’s another part of it that baffles me. People actually choose to shorten their Thanksgiving just to wait in front of those stores. It’s not like we get that many days to gather with family as it is. @luv2fly352

@SW-User Indeed!

I'll never be desperate enough to go shopping on Black Friday, at least with all of those super insane crowds...
ScrewThisImDone · 26-30, F
We do go sometimes, once all the craziness has died down...
SW-User
Every year, you see videos of people battling for merchandise or getting trampled, and it amazes me that people continue to partake year after year.@ScrewThisImDone

@SW-User That's what the idea of saving a few bucks does to people...
Travelbug · 56-60, F
No way. I hate crowds and the people that go are like wild animals.
SW-User
Yeah, some of those video clips are like watching lions battling over pieces of meat. @Travelbug

@SW-User and it's probably for stuff they don't even need
luv2fly352 · 70-79, M
@Travelbug Amen to that!

Not really a thing here but some stores have held black friday sales. I've only seen people line up once at a store here and it was one where you can get tech and gadgets for cheap.

I like sales but I'm not keen on standing in line and pushing in and stuff. I like to browse lol.

It’s a blood sport in the U.S. People have literally been killed at these events here. @5thApprentice

@SW-User That's crazy.

I worked a Firestone cross the parking lot from a couple department stores back in my younger days. We'd bring in breakfast burritos & donuts at 6 am and watch people lose their shit for Santa Bears and snow globes. I wish there'd been camera phones back then - unbelievable entertainment.
SW-User
Ok, I can appreciate enjoying it as a spectator sport watching the fools clubbing each other over Cabbage Patch Kids, Tickle Me Elmo, etc. The inner cynic in me can get with that. @hlpflwthat
I don't buy anything on black friday. Most of the deals aren't even that great. The ones that are worth considering are usually out of stock after the three they had are gone.
NOPE..!

I buy it all online the minute they open the sale lines...

My X-mas shopping is done 14 hours before the Turkey is...

I do a lot of shopping at local businesses, but those stores are never swamped like the big ones. If there are things I can’t get at a locally owned business, I’ll order it online. I have that stuff ordered ahead of time, too. I already have things hidden that have arrived recently. @Threepio
Neither. I’ll be heading to work at 4pm on thanksgiving so all those folks can fight over shit they probably don’t really need.

I don't even go grocery shopping on Black Friday. Might go out to eat but that's it.
SW-User
Grocery stores are madhouses that week, too.@katielass
SW-User
Nope... I can't take the crowds. haha
SW-User
I’ll never put up with crowds for shopping, but yet I’m fine with them at concerts and sporting events.@SW-User

@SW-User Yeah I know... the shopping crowds are seriously the WORST.
HeavenBesideYou · 56-60, F
