What was the most degrading job you ever had ?

I was a Lackey/handyman working for an Antiques Store. All was well until one day the owner told me to clean up after her two dogs. Great Danes.That pissed me off big time. Only done that for one day then told her to pick up her own dog shit and I walked out.

Worked for mean, nasty daycare director. Even got yelled at for not singing Christmas songs with the kiddies, her way. Embarrassed me in front of parents. I quit and hubby lost his job 3 days later..

I never looked at any of my jobs as degrading, because I needed them at the time. The closest was working as a dishwasher, but I was still in high school and did it to buy a car and have some freedom. I wasn't ashamed of doing it.

My first job at age 15 was working in a small town deli. Which sold groceries, fruit and veg included.
Every morning my first task was to polish the fruit and veg which was displayed in the front window.
One fruit, Cucumbers, needed to be shined to a high polish. Only one way to do that, Stroke, Stroke, Stroke. 🥒
My peers used to stand outside the window laughing and imitating my actions.
Luckily this was only a temporary job until my Apprenticeship began in the new year

i told a boss to get farked once. so they promoted an absolute moron and i had to trian them 😏

Telemarketing! I only did that for one day but that was enough for me!!
