How do people take short naps?

Everytime I tell myself I'm just taking a short nap I'm napping for at least 2 hours. I even set my phone alarm for like a half hour but just wake up groggy and annoyed and just go back to sleep. Like today I took a nap around 12:30 and didn't wake up until almost 4pm. I was that tired.
Maybe they are not as tired? Idk
15 minute naps are preferred.

You only wake up feeling tired because you’ve disrupted a deep sleep...
