The fact that his kind of hashtag movements is new and urgent is really depressing. I knew about why women don't go to the police about rape when I was a teenager twenty years ago. People have been saying it for a long time, just nobody fucking listens.

What would you do if your daughter was raped but had no evidence???
The sad thing is that the many valid and understandable reasons why sexual harassment and assault go unreported have been known for a long time, they just continue to be ignored by assholes who are afraid of women actually being able to hold their abusers accountable.
@Virgo79 maybe if women felt confident enough that their report would have some type of conclusion they would report it MINUTES after it happened when there IS evidence to provide to lock him up. Not after they’ve showered 10 times and scrubbed their bodies clean or hid it because they were afraid the rapist wouldn’t be locked up and could seek revenge and do it again for reporting him in the first place.
