I could be a bit of one if someone was watching me work for instance
I overcome it ,now I have confidence and love to show off the things I can do well
I know someone mentioned thats a turn off ,people who are confident and show off
When you were told you would never amount to anything long before you knew you had a crippling disease ,,I would say you need to have walked in my shoes to judge me
I am good at what I do (I should be, I only labored for flunkies AFTER I come home from service just to learn the trade ,,)
You can't imagine how humbling it is to labor for screw ups who only know how to be good laborers after you have been running equipment worth millions
saving people and vessels from burning and sinking ,decorated for bravery ,and a kid is making you feel like a know nothing ,and at the moment ,you don't know that trade ,but that does not mean you are stupid ,,I have had a lifetime of people ,when given a little authority ,it goes to their head ,makes them feel superior to everyone else when actually they are not ,they just know how to do that one thing ,they have been doing it since they were kids ,being a flunky for Dad
and now you are working for a kid that can only mix mud and clean tools
just for the opportunity to learn that trade from the master (thats what many of them like to call themselves ) I am not the best anything ,but in my fields ,,I could be one of them ,I always do my best ,I am an over achiever .
yea I was clumsy having people treating you like crap just so you can get them to trust you with a Mud pan and a hawk and trowel ,finishing blades
or cut a board like it was rocket science ,they made me nervous until I knew I had the ability and the skills not to screw up ..
And then I showed them what a lead man was ,and finally a Boss was ,I was just there to learn the trade .I will work for free to learn a new skill .
I have never treated anyone the way I was treated ,I train people
I have never belittled anyone that worked for me ,,or turned then into a klutz
Its not funny making someone that nervous ,scared they might screw up ,,its cruel
If its not life or death ,,your just being a jerk
