Why don't some people believe in "leagues" when it comes to dating?

There have always been leagues whether you want to believe it or not. Anyone who disagrees is delusional and lives in a fantasy world. The only time a 1 has a chance with a 10 is if they have a lot of money, status, and power. Everyone should know where they fall and stick around there. No wonder people want to kill themselves or get depressed because they were rejected. That's what happenes when you go beyond your meager means. I know I don't have a chance with anyone who is a 10 so I don't bother. It's not like I have a big house, fancy car or anything like that to help me either.

@FaeLuna It's clear that there is a spectrum in which everyone tends to fall. There are very few truly horrific looking people out there and very few absolutely gorgeous ones. Most fall somewhere in between either on the higher or lower ends of average.

Everybody bleeds the same. You need some self confidence and self worth. The people you think you don’t stand a chance with or wouldn’t take a chance on wind up being a pleasant surprise. Don’t sell yourself short. 🙂

True, i briefly dated a girl who was about a 9 while back in my 20's and her dad kept tellin her to date someone who had better earning potential than i did, she eventually agreed with him and that was the end of that..

I fell in love with someone I'd never naturally go for on EP. I don't really go for business men with desk jobs, wearing suits. It's not me. I like rough around the edges, some stubble, tats and tattered jeans. By knowing his personality and humor well before a picture came, I was in deep and it didn't matter one bit about all that lame stuff. He didn't care I was a simple, country girl with an old school soul, who loves brightly colored hair, who was not putting on heels and dressing up either. I've found myself attracted on here too, to someone I wouldn't search for but they alone, were adorable,all of them by chemistry alone. That is the beauty in meeting online first for me.

@SW-User Of course it helps when you speak to someone online first without seeing how they look. You fall in love with the person instead of the looks. In real life though it's not that simple

@TonyPajamas A good way to find out is by going on tinder honestly. See who tends to match with you the most. If you keep swiping on all the 7+s and none of them match back with you but you keep matching with the 4-6's that's probably where you fall.

I never bothered myself with even 8, too high maintenance and mostly shallow/materialistic. god *or whatever you believe in* made people ugly so they could end up working on their personalities
