Is there always bread in your cupboard and milk in your fridge?

Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
I make bread everyday so it's always a fresh loaf and it varies from white to Wholemeal to Granary...Onion and garlic bread is a fave at the moment.
Breadmaker. One of the best investments i've ever made !

Milk i tend to buy and then freeze. May sound odd but saves a lot of time, energy and spoil that way.
Other essentials include fruit and veg mostly from the garden; eggs from a neighbours Hens or Ducks; tea; coffee; flour; Caster sugar; Jams we make from the fruit in the garden. Plums/Apples/Blackcurrants/Raspberries/Blackberries.

Only other stuff i always have an excess of is toilet rolls and washing powder.
You only need to get snowed-in once to learn a lot of lessons with regard to provisions !

I go through 5 to 6 loaves a week with my kids plus 8 gallons of milk

I’m lactose intolerant, so no milk. I keep bread in my fridge because I noticed it lasts longer there because if it’s in a cupboard it will mold before I finish it.

@TonyPajamas I didn't know that. I'll fling my bread in the fridge

And plenty of it
I try to avoid bread and milk as much as I can. Milk is actually a poison that western people have built up a resistance to. It's practically unheard of in most China. Glutens are bad news and so is processed flour and sugar as most of us know.
