Totally how to land a job right?

Had a young kid come in I would put him around the late teens early 20s mark. He asked if we were hiring I said we arent at this location but I told him another location in a nearby city was for sure. He gave me attitude and said he lived in this city and not that one. I didn't know what to tell him other than sorry and to have a nice day.
