Why don't people walk barefoot more often in public? Why must we be stared at?

Loneliness kills.

The ones who stare are jealous of our barefoot freedom.

@Nytro44 Thank you, but it's okay. It hasn't gotten me down yet. There's some things I can't do anymore because of it, but I'm still getting around just fine. Hopefully if worse comes to worse, it will be a long time in coming. I still do as much as I can while I still can.🤠

@indyjoe It's a little inspiring actually. Makes me feel like shit for not appreciating my feet a little more, but I think I'm at my max. I commend your spirit.

@Sarin Thank you, but you shouldn't feel that way. We all have things we often take for granted ( I did on this for years, I guess because even though I knew they weren't cured they didn't bother or hinder me much). I do appreciate your reply.🤠

@Greenbare I commend your spirit. Being Barefoot is more than exposing your soles to the elements but rather it is the power of one who seeks adventure.

I go barefoot everywhere and get my fair share of stares, but I honestly prefer it that way. One of my favorite sensations is being the only one barefoot in a crowd and acting totally normal.

@Sarin It is a pretty good rush. Some of my most exhilarating experiences are from when I was in huge crowds in my bare feet.
Sarin · 26-30, M
@SW-User It's certainly a very sensational experience to be barefoot in general.
SW-User
True. The crowds only add to the experience.

People leave all kinds of crap on the ground. Both literally and figuratively.

@Greenbare Easy now, old man. You forget that it is progressive values that have gotten us this far as a country.

@Greenbare You sick bastard.
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
I wouldn’t walk barefoot anywhere I couldn’t personally swear has no broken glass, nails, screws, sharp rocks or anything else that could damage feet. Obviously I don’t go to the beach often 😂
Zaphod42 · 46-50, M
If you say so, but my shoes have never given me a scar or required me to get a tetanus shot. Walking barefoot has 😉

@Greenbare Apparently “most” people need to wear shoes that actually fit then instead of those toe torture devices so many women wear in the name of fashion
marriedplus3 · 31-35, M
Sometimes my kids will go barefoot when I know it’s safe
Sarin · 26-30, M
@marriedplus3 May the wind and earth never cease to be felt.
hypodermic needles?..
Nytro44 · 61-69, M
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout Been walking barefoot for over 4 years now, never seen a needle laying around. I have stepped on some broken glass, wasn't an issue for me. I have even stepped on a rusty nail, but like most rusty nails, that aren't sticking out of something, they just lay on the ground, and aren't a problem.

I'll say this, once you start the barefoot lifestyle, you start paying attention to every step you make!
indyjoe · 56-60, M
Too much crap in public to accidently injure yourself on, that's a lot of the reason people don't do it and it's often prohibited.

I hope you're up-to-date on your tetanus shot!
