What are your thoughts on Acer laptops?

They're probably one of the best 2nd tier laptop makers.

I tend to be partial to Lenovo ones. Unless you need the latest, top of the line model, I've done real well with refurbished off lease Lenovo laptops. I'm writing this on a Lenovo T420 that I've had for several years.

i have one. it’s ok. lots of hiccups with it like it just decides to shut down randomly. we had it have it serviced for some other reason too. i’ve owned many laptops and never had those kind of issues. i would get a mac if i got a new laptop but my hubby bought this one as a gift...

Owned one. It was not a computer. Died too soon. Never will buy another.

Dell, HP, are great. I now own an Asus Gaming Laptop, I love it.

Acer is good, but so is Lenovo. It is the specs of a particular laptop that matters more than the brand.

They started as very low end and unreliable. I don't know about the current models.

Great for a borrowed machine, also very old.

Mine's hp.. never had a problem with it.

Pretty durable and great performance for cheap price ( don't forget to check your warranty)

I don't really know much about them. I'd favor them over Lenovo, at least.
