@GreenGoddess The manual safety,that the user turns off is not considered necessary by the manufacturer Glock.Internal safety mechanism prevents accidentally discharging the weapon when drawing.Other manufacturers use a manual safety such as on the Berretta 92 series.

Well, the only real life gun battle I was ever witness to I actually only heard from like a block away, and the semi auto won (or at least was the last shot heard to be fired). The full auto didn't know what they were doing though...kept letting his ammo run out in one long burst and you rarely hit anything that way.
