Are you frugal?

The only time I spend is on vacations and my wine. Apart from that, I budget and save.

I save water by showering at work, save on gym fees by using our corporate gym. Internet, technological devices and car are all work tools. I use it for personal use within reason. I save money in that area.

I hardly ever buy lunch or eat out. Work has a yearly clothing allowance. I use half to purchase clothes for work and the rest in personal clothing items. My sister in laws are impulsive shoppers and love to order clothing online, 70% of the time, clothing is small and they usually throw it my way.

Yes I am. recently, I have tried learning to make the things that I often buy when I get fast food. That saves money. Now I rarely go eat fast food. When I am on my way to work and think " oh I'll just get something for lunch", I make some pasta real quick and take that. I usually buy clothes on sale, if not on sale, they are cheap anyway. My sisters think I spend lot on clothes. I make sure I tell them when I'm actually wearing a $2 shirt..😃

@pagandad I was thinking of investing in companies. Same thing? I'm totally new at it but I was advised to invest with companies like fedex, ups..

@pagandad oh, see I know nothing of investing. All I was taught to do was save. (thanks dad). Thank you

I make my own lunches, buy clothes only on sales and once a year. I buy my car outright so I don't have payments, pay credit cards fully so there's no interest. I pay a lot in cash, when the cash runs out, I stop. I live simply and use stuff carefully so it lasts, even cheap things. I do most of my own repairs.

@SW-User not sure how much is in mine but I have around $40 that I didn't cash from last year, ran out of change roll things.. 😃

@MechE96, it also pains me when I see people drop money and leave it there. Like seriously? That's a whole quarter... I'll take it lol

@iamnikki Search for a jar that does the counting for you, or look at something from Amazon that fits over a 5 gal water jug and does the same thing.

Both my parents are in good employment and earn good money too. They have acquired significant amount of asset over the years. I earn a decent living too in my career but I picked up this habit from my grandmother.

Very. I only have a few second hand clothes. I rarely eat out. I don't travel.

Not as I should be
Lolco · 36-40, M
@Random1Thoughts I do have good savings habits... but I could have more if I don’t spend so freely, basically I don’t compromise on comfort.
@Lolco I have a lovely house with all the amenities but I'm at work most of the time. I save on all the stuff that I don't need.
Lolco · 36-40, M
@Random1Thoughts I get this : ) but it’s your comfortable haven & you’re investing in something tht truly matters

Gal I salute you, you are pretty sensible. :)
@MenzernaSF4000
Thanks ☺️

No, I'm not. I like to spend but I also save some money
@xRedx
That's cool, as long as you enjoy yourself.

Damn, I thought I was cheap.
You would be surprise at how much we can save. @SINAI

Likewise, I have brought my own property and exploring buying more for investments. I only invest in properties and brought a few shares that reaped benefit in the past.

I go on vacation 4 times a year, always to foreign countries and I spend a bit of money on my travels.I@pagandad
