how has the police helped you?

just wanna know some good things the police actually do after watching ANOTHER video in the US of a lady that called the police yelling that her (maybe ex not quite sure) boyfriend was beating a man that she was in bed with, for them to come 2 HOURS LATER, after she was also brutally beaten up too, in which she literally escaped because her boyfriend went downstairs to get a sharper knife.

I've had a police officer and police investigator spend countless hours helping me with my abusive ex. They even traveled out of state on their own personal time to testify against him. And...I've got tons of police friends who do so much good, spend so much personal money to help the homeless, or those in a crisis. The news chooses to show only bad. There is so much good about our police. The news just wants you to have a certain opinion.

A drug addict stole a machine from my property months ago, which I retrieved on my own but on my way back he was waiting in the streets and started destroying all surrounding car glasses because he didn't know which one is mine, and was threatening to hurt me. I only had an umbrella to push him away. He run few minutes and was found by the police hours later.

@wakanda4eva No, the neighbors did. I was busy protecting myself by pretending that I believe he is innocent all while pushing him away. He had knives and was threatening to rape and kill me.

@Miram Sorry you had to go through that, the police should have definitely came earlier tho, people say a few seconds can either save or lose a life, a few hours can almost confirm it, luckily ur alright
