So let me get this straight, life won't go right for me unless I believe in Yeshua

That doesn't sound like much of a choice. Ultimatum type of thing, either you believe in me or you suffer. Kinda cruel maybe.

And it's not just about believing, it's following all these rules and abstenance.

Believing whole hartedly in Yeshua is believing that he is everywhere and manifested through everyone so thats kind of creepy to me.

Am I talking to my dad, brother or you Yeshua. If that's you behind them then are they really their own person, insanity.

Jesus never promised us a non-troubled life. As a matter of fact, it's the opposite, because this world rejects God. He is worth and what He has for us is worth it; eternal life in paradise with Him.

Whoever said God is everything? God created everything perfect, even mankind until man messed it up. It's obvious you have no knowledge of God.

@GodSpeed63 What you just wrote is illogical. If everything was created perfect then man should not have messed up.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
What I wrote was logical. Mankind was given free will and was warned not to consume the knowledge of good and evil. God did not want man to have that kind of knowledge at the time and you can plainly see why. But He allowed them to to consume it anyway to demonstrate that you can't force someone to love you. They must love you of their own free will.

When a lifeguard approaches you in a boat in shark infested waters, that lifeguard did not create the sharks.

@dark548 I can hardly tell you what to believe, and I am not a Biblical expert. But, personally, I find that a simple faith in a loving God offers me a positive view of the universe and a reservoir of strength and comfort in times of trouble. Logic certainly has a lot of good practical uses and applications, but I do not find that it really addresses the complexities of human lives and the problem of suffering. When I believe, I am reaching beyond everyday thinking and holding on to a greater view and a higher reality. I grew up among very logical intellectual people...observing their thinking and their life choices and behavior turned me off forever to making logic and intellect the source of all of my thinking and feeling. I respect your questioning stereotypical Christian thinking and scare tactics. But I hope that someday you can see something good and beautiful beyond that and take some comfort in it as I have.

@greenmountaingal To follow Yeshua would mean to me to let go of my own plan. I would follow his plan not mine, meaning letting go of my free will and individuality. Meaning becoming more robotic as I see it.
greenmountaingal · 70-79, F
@dark548 I understand. But a belief in God doesn't require you to give up your free will or individuality. Churches sometimes require that, but they are human organizations, not God.

Who ever said that living should be fair? ;)
lol... Well basically it's the same for every religion. Believe in the True God, or suffer defeat. So why do people like myself put up with it? Well since our God Jehovah is not an evil God. It'd be different if he wanted us to suffer, but he truly wants us to feel good, to relax, and enjoy life. Therefore we can continue to wholeheartedly believe in that he wants to do us good. If he wasn't a loving God, no one would put up with it.

It would be worse if we didn't even have a choice. At least now we can choose to die if we'd rather not exist than believe in God.

I'm not sure which religion you believe in, but I can only speak for myself.

@dark548 You should consider a different faith if your current one doesn't make sense to you.

As an example, we believe that The Almighty God Jehovah is His own person, that He has a son named Jesus Christ, and that Jehovah created all angels and mankind into our own individual personalities. Jehovah is giving us power to survive, but he is not us.

@MartinTheFirst hmm well that's interesting.
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@dark548 :) I know! It's very interesting to me too.
It is your choice.
dark548 · M
@Mondayschild Somewhere along the lines it's been hijacked.
@dark548 it has been translated to suit the person doing the translation.
dark548 · M
@Mondayschild Unfortunately. Yeshua sounds like a great concept, a strong love outside of humans and capable of the impossible. However; unfortunately there is also the other stuff.

how about Nohua?
