@swandfriends Y'know...I wouldn't doubt it. The Kennedy assassination is something I hesitantly admit to having a strange fascination with. I'm worried people will call me a conspiracy theorist but there's just a few too many things about it that seem fishy.

@TJNewton it's something not often appreciated... Big countries come along and design lines on maps and say this is now.. Fill in the blanks .. Irrespective of what the local population want or feel... It then takes a ruthless leader to hold it together... Iraq and Yugoslavia.. Both forced marriages and both fell apart

@TJNewton I think I agree with you to an extent... Sadam did a lot of bad things, including gassing, to sections of the population.. But yes, it's a shit fight right now

@Elandra77 Oi, I considered saying Bill Clinton as well. It's a choice that could go either way, on the one hand, he kept a lot of social issues stable. But he still signed the Gramm Leech Bliley Act which was a complete and utter fucking nightmare. And of course NAFTA.

@BiKeyWest No, he did almost as many crimes as Bush, but he managed to avoid invading any foreign countries, and he also opposed torture. Which isn't to say Obama didn't also commit crimes, because he did, some of the same ones Bush did, and some others that Bush didn't, most notably he encouraged civil asset forfeiture which is absolutely fucking absurd.

His insurance plan was flawed, but it was an enormous improvement from the dumpster fire of a healthcare system that Bush let run wild. The biggest flaw in the Affordable Care Act was the individual mandate. It was unpopular for a reason. But the protection from preexisting conditions was phenomenal.

He handed Iran billions of dollars that America stole from Iran in the 1953 when we assassinated their democratically elected president because he chose to return oil wealth to the Iranian citizens instead of handing it over to America and Britain. You wanna talk about giving money to Muslim countries? Two words for you: Saudi Arabia. Every president since Bill Clinton has allowed this country to be Saudi Arabia's little slut puppy, we shower them in hundreds of billions of dollars and give them weapons, bombs, tanks, planes, shit that's been illegal under international law since World War fucking One, like white phosphorous and cluster munitions. All at taxpayer expense. Bush did it, Obama did it, Clinton did it, Trump is doing it now. The Saudis have cucked America at the behest of defense contractors and special interests groups who make enormous campaign contributions to politicians who are beholden to their corporate donors.

You're gonna tell me Bush-era insurance was good? It was such a national embarrassment that it forced Obama to look for a way to reform it. He fell short of the original goal, which was a public option. And that I would support. A public option would be a very good idea. But Obama was nebbish in negotiating it with his opponents and he allowed it to be watered down into what it was.

If you could afford healthcare under Bush then you could damn well afford it under Obama too. The flaw was FORCING people to buy insurance even if they didn't want to, and I think that was a terrible idea. But do you not agree with me that protection from preexisting conditions was a fantastic idea? It has an over 90% approval rating from American citizens, as it fucking should, if you buy insurance and pay money for it, and then you get sick or injured, but your insurance company refuses to pay out despite you having bought their insurance because of a preexisting condition, then what the fuck did you buy insurance for? Privatized health insurance is a goddamn disgrace, it's a predatory institution with a perverse incentive.
