It's called "ignorance".
They could've said "you have some sort of cancer that makes you say such nonsense so go see an oncologist!" but of course that sounds stupid because of the vast education about physical illnesses.
They just don't know how similarly stupid it is to relate a differing opinion to mental illness. Cuz ignorance. And that's just super sad.
