If you are specifically referring to the Black NFL kneelers...it is ABSOLUTELY appropriate...it's perfect
I think any non-violent, non-destructive form of protest is appropriate as long as you are prepared to take the consequences.

@Mamapolo2016 I agree.

It’s the worst

I think it’s all ridiculous!! These “men” get paid a ridiculously enormous amount of money! If they are told to dig a hole for fresh water during the National Anthem... they should be grabbing a shovel!!

We post from many countries here. Ask your own citizens, why ask here.

The world has many countries, so many country Anthems are around, do you stand for them all????????
@SoFine I would if I were in that country and knew it was their national anthem. As a sign of respect.
It is not - it is cowardly and demonstates to many a long vacuum in the human body waiting for a spine implant!
@EugenieLaBorgia Got that right
@Elandra77 Yes! Any national anthem eulogizes the history, traditions and struggles of that nations people. Disrespect the anthem and it is a disrespect to all people who struggled and fought against every type of prejudice!

I think taking a knee is a good compromise. It's a way to protest while also demonstrating respect for our servicemen and women.

I don't attend things where it's playing

I think it's a poor form of protest that can be interpreted as disrespect to the country and troops.

That being said... trump and his peeps are blowing this deal way out of proportion
Rickg · 31-35, M
Depends if you agree with the existence of the country in question, or the national anthem they use
Flenflyys · 31-35, F
Yes and a wheelchair is no excuse to protest your country
MrBrownstone · 46-50, M
Not sure about that. I don’t see it as protesting.
suzie1960 · 61-69, F
Definitely.

Who cares?

I don't know. I see both sides to the argument. Personally, I have family who served and know people who died, so it's no question for me.
I guess, but not as meaningful as farting all the way through it
