A long time ago I did a test....I felt like I was always the one to initiate everything. I always called first, or made the plans to go out....so, I decided I would stop calling people, and whoever was my real friend would reach out to me first. Well, the vast majority of them never called, and I never heard from them again even though I had known them for years. It really cut my number of friends down, but I feel like at least now I know who is really my friend and who is a friend out of convenience.

I have had friends of long standing offline to try that.... but I step in and stop it...

People like that can be the most exhausting. A true drain, emotionally. And more often than not you could try to weigh it up and realise that they really aren't a friend in anything more than name.

I dont call em friends anymore, they are people I know. I happy with the barter system I have developed, it seems to work well.

@SW-User what system?
Alfarrobas · 31-35, M
Not friends. Leave them or use them as you may see more fit.
But don't forget. There are friends that are friends even you don't talk much
