To any would be mothers who think circumcision is a good idea.

I'm going to be the odd ball out here... Simply Googling something and coming up with the top article and one of the first images is not really proof that it's better than not performing a circumcision. There are quite a few pros and cons. I asked my fiance his opinion, because he's a man and it would be our child if we were to have one, he said he had his done and didn't see a problem with it. I respect his opinion because I don't have a penis and therefore shouldn't be allowed an opinion. Also, a really big factor that people don't realize is that a BABY CANNOT MAKE IT'S OWN DECISIONS. Especially one that is a few hours old. The same scenario goes for baby girls and ear piercings... You are the child's parents and it is your decision. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or says. If it was considered mutilation, the government would have made it illegal by now, don't you think? I don't mean to be rude, just stating my opinion... Sorry...

@WeighedDown If it was the norm to remove the clitoral hood in the first place, then yes, probably. IF it had more benefits than risks. It is a family matter and that is who should decide. The family. Not some 31-35 year old man on the internet pretending to be a fictional character from a show about alien conspiracies. Also, I live in the US and that is where I will more than likely be having a baby, if I have one. If the rest of the world is botching and killing babies, then they should probably stop doing it until they can find qualified doctors who can perform them. The deaths associated with circumcision are ALL AVOIDABLE. The proof you just posted is from 1999. They have changed their stance, originally from neutral and are now pro-circumcision because of the risk of HIV. But they still agree that it is a FAMILY MATTER.

First off having been circumcised I have more right to talk about than you and the US is where 117 babies died last year, as a man who never had a choice I wish i had but apparently my parents decided that for me and female circumcision offers the same benifits, but we realize it's a violation of a person's human rights when it's a girl it should be left for him to decide when he is old enough to decide for himself, maybe he would like to have that choice but I guess my body my choice must not apply for men. I had my son circumcised because I was he had mild complications, but he was not botched but I was Google too much skin removed that's what happened to me it was unnoticeable until puberty then only noticeable when I had an erection so I did not even know untill after i grew up and had a son. There are so many people against circumcision for no other reason than they watched one happen for me i regret having it done to my son because I have learned what he lost what I lost what your husband lost what your son will lose. I hope for your sake he never finds out what he lost and i pray to God that he is not one of the unlucky ones like the child in Memphis Tennessee that lost his penis.

I did not know what I was taking from him now that I know what is cut off and that most of the world is against it so am I it's a touchy subject

:( God that's so heartbreaking. I knew about that before I had my son...I wouldn't allow it.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@SW-User it's crazy here in the states it's a flesh market

@WeighedDown Yes. It's a disgrace. I wouldn't even let my son sleep away from me in the nursery when I had him.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@SW-User it's sad I had my son done because I did not know anything but the supposed benefits, not what they were taking away.
Thankfully I kept my son uncut but to each their own..

well, if it makes you feel any better 20,000 compared to 8,000...well, shall I just say, 20,000 isn't going to hurt significantly more than 8,000. They're both going to hurt like hell.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@katielass the difference is to cut one is perfectly fine the other is a human rights violation

😥😲 That poor baby. 😔😞

Fkn hell! Mutilation is wrong!
AlphaCuckTX · 56-60, M
How does it feel knowing you have just alienated the entire Jewish Race? What next, do you feel a Holocaust coming on.
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@AlphaCuckTX mutilation is mutilation regardless of race or religion, however I was referring more to American elective unnecessary non religious circumcision.
AlphaCuckTX · 56-60, M
Oh so mutilation is OK as long as religion is involved, but not cleanliness, aesthetic, or clinical purposes. I'll alert everyone on the Gaza Strip!
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@AlphaCuckTX again 20,000 nerves removed without consent of the owner is never ok, why not let the boy decide I guess my body my choice don't apply to boys. Plus 100 babies a year die from complications of a surgery they did not need but hey atleast their penis was clean at their funreal

I'm confused I thought you were against. I remember when I posted a picture on my thread you said you were happy that you got cut.
Chickie · F
@WeighedDown Okay! I just wanted to ask didn't mean to bother you
WeighedDown · 36-40, M
@Chickie it's all good it's a decision I should have been allowed to make, it should not happen to babies unless medically required
Chickie · F
@WeighedDown I don't know if you're interested or not but have you thought about restoring? I heard that it takes a while but in the long run most guys say it's worth it
