Have you ever had a skin tag?

I have on on the curve of my neck where it joins the shoulder and sometimes it hurts when my necklace rubs on it....

I want to get it removed but I’m scared it’ll hurt 😭😭😭

I’m such a big baby

My oldest has had several removed and he didn’t even flinch 😰😰😰

You can tie a thread around it..

@JarJarBoom or tie different colored ribbons around each one and start a fashion trend. 😂

I actually had a LOT of incipient skin tags and tiny bumps right where you do. It was driving me insane. It was itchy all the time. I made an appointment with the dermatologist and they had their physicians assistant burn them off all at once with that ice cold stuff. It literally burned a large area on both sides of my neck. By the time I got home I could really feel the pain of it. Fortunately, I keep Lanacaine (topical burn pain reliever) on hand for burn first aid, and I slathered my neck with it on both sides. Then I took two extra strength tylenol and a couple of ibuprofen which are anti-inflammatories. Within 20 minutes the pain had stopped completely.

If I had it to do again, I would take the pain medication BEFORE I went in to the doctors' office, and I would have the Lanacaine out in my car and slather myself the moment I got out of my appointment.

I was worried for a while that I was going to scar. My neck turned hematoma purple in the burn area on both sides. I went in to see the doctor and asked him how long that would take to go away, and he said it would fade completely within three months. I was all right with that, because then I knew it would fade....and it did, and now you can't see anything at all and my neck no longer itches all the time.

If you only have ONE skin tag, it is even less painful. I had one underneath one eye, had it removed, and it was hardly paiful at all.

@4meAndyou ouch sounds painful because you had so many

I only have the one

I had one and pulled it off, yikes, it hurt but didn't come back and it was on my neck same place, yeah a necklace chain would grab it. A natural healing book says that skin tags can indicate a problem with insulin resistance.

@pentacorn I wish I could buy all meat, eggs, etc. free-range and organic...get away from chemicals.

@cherokeepatti i wish the same... and i do buy most veg/fruit and all dairy organic. i'm part of a co-op, so pretty good prices.

@cherokeepatti considering I’m diabetic and was insulin resistant since I was 15 and only turned full blown diabetic a few years ago I would agree with your last statement on the original comment

Get a piece of dental floss and have someone put a small loop around it and tighten it to where it cuts off blood flow . Probably be like 2 days and it’ll fall off on its own
I removed my own when I had two. Cuticle scissors. Did one of my friends, but he was not into the idea of cutting, and it was pretty big, so I used thread. Did you know you could do that? Tie it around, and it'll pinch right off. But there was still a base, so I told him it might grow back. Hasn't yet.

@KayraJordyn mine is kinda big too 😣

i don't, but i do have a small mole in the same area that i've nearly torn off several times, so it's now similar in appearance to a skin tag.

they just numb them and burn them off. no big whoop.

I've had a few removed by my Dr used to be part of the visit. Now it's considered out patient surgery and cost me $100

I found one on my neck and shaved it off with my regular razor. A sharp, momentary sting but it's gone and never came back. 😎

They are ugly and nasty as hell. Luckily I have never had one. But a dermatology clinic can remove it cheap.

Dont they have stuff you can put on it and in a few days it goes away
@Tminus6453 Tag Away is bull poopies.

I have a good way of getting rid of them ☺ tie some cotton around it tight after a few days it drys up and drops off no scares
