What is 'no man is an island' supposed to mean ?

While we may claim to be independent and not need any connection to others (like an island), we are wrong. We need relationships with other people.

We are not made to function isolated. We are social creatures who need others.

No one is alone. We are all in this mess together.

That no one can make it completely on their own in this harsh world. We all need each other to some degree and some point in our lives. IMO

Sometimes we all need to ask for help. We don't need to deal with things alone.
