Why wouldn't I be able to get on any profiles?
from people younger, close to my age, or older

I am not sure what you are asking... but if you set your age restrictions or whether you talk to men or women or both. There are settings. For instance...I don't talk to other men. So men can request to talk to me... but can't outright message me.
