At school we watched a theatre production about genetically choosing traits for children - it didn't turn out well. The children felt unloved and only wanted for their particular skills. So natural.

Id design them. Lets say we live in that world, you'd have to explain to your child why you didn't give them a life free of genetic disabilities that could hinder them. I don't think I could justify not making sure my baby was 100% healthy when there was the choice

@Qwerty14 well we never want perfection. we want to get closer and closer to it but never perfect. there would be no way to improve a dead end in science. i've never seen it but i've heard about stories and movies saying its dangerous. but a generation of perfectly healthy strong and intelligent people sounds like fun.?

Natural... They're taking it way too far

I'd use genetic engineering to reduce/eliminate debilitating traits, but retain most of the natural diversity in the genetic makeup.

Idk enough about it to make a decision on designer babies..natural doesn't always turn out that well..so, maybe!

I have a rare genetic disorder that would be passed down to my kid if I had any. I wouldn't want the kid to get it.
