What do you think about euthanasia?

i'm honestly in favor of it. i know people think thst's bad or wrong, and that's fine for them to feel thst way but yeah, my feelings on it stand. if i were in such a position i wouldn't want to keep suffering.

@DancingStarGoddess it's your life,I don't think anyone should be able to tell you "you have to live and suffer"
@SW-User i agree completely! there's so many things out there people are still living with that they're in excrutiating pain with and they have little to no quality of life, and would like to go. i don't understand why they shouldn't be allowed to have that choice. we get to choose everything else and told we're responsible for everything else involving ourselves, why not that too?

I think it would be a thankful release if a life quality becomes so bad that it is a painful existence. We are kind to our pets by putting them down when in extreme irreparable pain, why can't we be kind to ourselves too?

@SW-User i was planning to mount a iron guitar with wings on a woooden board with under it on a copper plate "for "his name"" since i know him as a friends because he comes to play music with my father and his friends. i hope he likes it when i'm done with it.

@popmol That is lovely. :)

@SW-User on the back of the wooden thing i also wanted to engrave the text "you prepare the stage for when the rest comes up there too" :) i don't know if its a good plain though

It's great. People are dying to have it.

I do have to add a serious answer to this question after reading some of the responses. I work with many people who have chronic pain conditions, as well as terminal illnesses. It's heartbreaking to see and it's even more heartbreaking to know that for some people, there is absolutely no relief. Sometimes, the hardest thing to do is the most compassionate.

They give it to animals in a heartbeat but for humans you have to go thru red tape. If someone is in pain and they are going to die, they deserve to die with dignity!
popmol · 22-25, M
@SW-User yes :)

I think there is a better solution than killing people off, but that is me.
I do not want to debate it.
I always think deeply about issues, so I am not changing my mind.
I understand why people think what they do on the other side and I thought about all that as well.
popmol · 22-25, M
@SW-User well yes but they can move. the elderly often can't move that well; my grandpa always rode his bike until he was like 85 but then 2 years later he had a hard time coming out of a chair. so he was sad he couldn't do anythign himself anymore but we lived close so we came by often but some others don't have that and are just things waiting to die in a hospital somewhere. not that i don't want them to live but its sad.
well i never looked at the cost though.
SW-User
@popmol I have thought of all that like I said, and do understand the other side, but I just think we could try other solutions, that is my opinion.
popmol · 22-25, M
@SW-User yeah sorry. i knew you woudln't want a conversation! but i like your thought
Primnproper · 56-60, F
It depends, for terminal illnesses I think it works because the outcome is inevitable and can be so painful..but for things like mental illnesses e.g...depression it's dodgy because there are many times they feel they want to die but it can pass and they go on to make a life for themselves..at the end of the day we help animals when there's no hope to save their pain..
popmol · 22-25, M
@Primnproper well one i didn't know you could use it for mental illnesses like depression i understand for mental illnesses you're born with. but not depression but terminal patient don't often want to go through all the pain.
Primnproper · 56-60, F
@popmol I don't think people should have to sufferings the illness is fatal..let them plan there demise, get to say their goodbyes then pass peacefully..
popmol · 22-25, M
t @Primnproper that is very nice of you.
SW-User
More people should look into it
popmol · 22-25, M
@NunIover how come?
Wiseacre · F
I think it should be available to anyone who wants it!
popmol · 22-25, M
@Wiseacre here you can whenever you want and i'm glad because currently a friend is going through the process.
Wiseacre · F
@popmol ..but I don't encourage it for young ppl, unless there is a fatal disease.
popmol · 22-25, M
@Wiseacre well of course it should only be used for fatal disease
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
I’d rather suffer until the end
popmol · 22-25, M
@YouCanCallMeDan no if its a 24 open house party.
YouCanCallMeDan · 41-45, M
@popmol You don’t want guests turning up early to party. It’s fashionable to arrive late
popmol · 22-25, M
@YouCanCallMeDan ooh hell no when someone says the party starts at 8 you arrive at least 10 minutes in advance
SW-User
I think it's o.k. because one is living an artificial life. One would have died without it, then why not.
popmol · 22-25, M
@SW-User that is most certainly true!
