Do you or do you not miss anyone on here?

I do not miss anyone. I just don't get involved with people online like I used to. In yahoo chat, I used to be that one guy that people came to ask for advice but when the chatrooms were gone and yahoo messager was dying. It broke the circle of friends I had and it sucked so now I try not to emotionally invest in anyone well being because I now suck at being friends with anyone now.

Understandable. So there’s none of the pain of loss. But also none of the joy of friendship. I guess everyone has to decide for themselves if it’s worth the risk.

@SW-User I had the same experience with Answerbag. Was there for 8 years before it closed. But I decided to take a chance and at least find “like” again. 😉

Yes I miss a few. One here on this site. A few others on other sites. And then there's USENET. I have been on the net for a net eternity, so one is bound to make certain friends. Some one misses, others one does not.

Yes, one friend in particular, with whom I chatted regularly for several months last year, who apparently decided that he had no more use for me last November, though he has apparently kept in touch with the rest of his friends. That made me sad, and still makes me sad. ;(

I also had some friends on EP who didn't join this site but joined RelateToThat instead, because they thought this site was just a scam or something.

@RubySoo Thanks. He hasn't left the site, though he did take a break for a couple of weeks. He had just started seeing someone, which was apparently the reason why he didn't have time to come online for a while. But then when he came back he caught up with the rest of his friends but pretty much ignored me. I have my suspicions about the reason, though I would like to think that I'm wrong.
