I like bacon and have used different brands however...

I noticed none of it is cooking up the way it used to ..it's coming out stringy in some spots and fatty in other spots.. have you noticed any changes in some foods ?

This summer and fall the fresh broccoli seemed to have something wrong where it didn't keep for very long, and if you get into it the stalks had a little brown streaks. This was broccoli from several different stores. Seems to have resolved since then.

@Jibby You can always find more shoes on the porches after people have cleaned them up and left them there, that's what happened to my ex's cousin's boots, whoever stole them waited till he cleaned and polished them up, they were a muddy mess and sitting on the porch for a couple of weeks before he got around to cleaning them. And you can find some clothes on clotheslines.

@Jibby If you're lucky there'll be pies on the windowsill cooling and you can grab those while you're at it.

food has changed dramatically over the years. It's the era of Frankenstein food.

@SW-User I know I've been hearing some weird stuff about bread and the few other Foods would additives that are basically changing young males being born to have lower testosterone levels a more estrogen type affect in Attitude

@Jibby Yeah... scary shit. your best bet is organic when you can find it.

Oreo cookies have changed, and not just the sometimes strange new flavors. Both the taste and texture of the cookie is off for the traditional chocolate and the former Swiss, now golden.

@Jibby I liked the cookies too. Now, they are not palatable. I never see anyone buying Oreos but they have 50 flavors now. Too bad for the kids today who never knew the real Oreo.

@toddr13 yes it's like they're their own competition. I tried the Hawaiian Punch Oreos out of pure curiosity it's almost like you get an instant chemical headache and they taste disgusting. Now you want to really trip out look up how many flavors of a Twix bar there are in Japan
toddr13 · 46-50, M
@Jibby The Japanese do like flavor experimentation. I tried the birthday cake Oreo and they were disgusting. I had high hopes for the mint, but they, too, were just too fake in terms of flavor.

What I hate is they keep the packaging the same size but fill it less and charge the same. Got a can of coffee the other day and found it less than full and found the weight was less than the previous can but the can size and price were the same. That pisses me off!

@Marcette88 same thing with chips and the weight of meat packages as well as cookies and crackers. Well so cans of soup. they said there's one good thing coming out of it Americans are finally losing a little bit of weight ..albeit a little bit

I haven't bought bacon in years. I can't eat a whole pack myself...I know I can freeze it, but that's work.
Jibby · 56-60, C
@dumpstermeow yes but you might possess the kiss of death..
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F

It isn't as thick as it used to be either. Even the thick cut is thinner.
