Would I die if I drank 10 year old vitamin water?

In my parents basement we have a spare fridge. In it there are a few bottles of same club brand vitamin water that expired in 2008. I'm seeing how long it stays before they see notice and throw it out.

These are the same people who have Windex and pepto bismal from like 1995 still and various meds that expired in the early 2000s

I helped an ex clean out his fridge once. He had old meat in there from when his grandmother was living in the house several years before. 🤢

@Butterflykisses24 good luck with that. Both my parents like to hold onto things and so do my grandparents and I just come from a long line of hoarders

I have a box of coca leaf tea that I bought back in 1980 (before they decocainized the stuff). I don’t plan to drink it but it’s more a keepsake from a slightly wilder time.
That said, the water probably wouldn’t kill you but it’s likely to taste rather rancid. 🤢

ps. medication is very strict on their expiration date so they date it months, sometimes years before it actually goes out if it's stored in perfect conditions.

you wouldn't die but you'd probably throw up if the water has additives that goes off.
