When anyone says I'm beautiful. I know what I look like. I am far from beautiful. Not even mildly attractive. So, I'm supposing they are either lying to try to make me feel better, or they are talking about the me, inside the physical body I'm inhabiting.
@MissMollyCharlotte0702 Yes. I agree, but I really think it's who I am, not what I look like. The only sincere compliment I've received in the last several,years, was from my great granddaughter. She was wearing a toque, like mine. Her mom told her that she looked so much like me with the hat. My great granddaughter said thanks mom, ran and got my glasses that I leave at their place, and put them on and said to take her picture. She has it enlarged and in a frame in her room.
@Serenitree You are missing the background. No matter what my husband does to try to convince me that I am more than "good enough", the little voices in my head do a great job of making me feel otherwise.
