Do you think our universe, at some point in time, will come to an end?

IAMMONARAHIMI · 36-40, F
no, but we'll move from planet to planets
IAMMONARAHIMI · 36-40, F
no, when computers were established/ people whom did IT it wasn't thought to be a billion dollar industry now and has advanced and will continue to just like us@xRedx
IAMMONARAHIMI · 36-40, F
@xRedxanyways not everyone gets to go to Mars sooo, you don't have to gooo
xRedx · M
@IAMMONARAHIMI you can't apply that concept. It's entirely different.
SW-User
Define "end".
xRedx · M
@SW-User nothing of everything. Total. Space, matter, time, stars, essentially everything is in this universe.
SW-User
@xRedx in that case my answer is no.

Big Rip is coming, but who knows what does it mean? We can observe our universe only in 4 dimensions (3 space 1 time), while superstring theory says that there must have at least 10 or even 26 spacetime dimensions. As a shadow is a 2 dimensional projection of a 3 dimensional body, who knows what "shadow" would remain in the other dimensions when our 3+1 dimension comes to an end? :)

It's a good scientific and philosophic question, yeah. :)
xRedx · M
@SW-User That's true. There is actaully evidence of this already. It's a shadow, a void if you will in a massive field of energy, indicating that's where another universe collided with ours.
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
I think the latest theory says it may expand forever, yet decellerate, and get less dense, colder, and things will get further and further apart, and perhaps be ripped apart.
Define the universe: The black void that we see or the contents, everything, inside it ?
xRedx · M
@softspokenman everything, including the void.
@xRedx, Are there other universes with, possibly, different contents inside a "super Universe" (for lack of a better word.) ?
whateverhappens · 26-30, F
idc once im not here too see it & my kids, grandkids, idc about who comes after that
DanielChristensen · 46-50, M
Considering the cyclic nature of things, I enjoy the idea of ekpyrosis
Deadcutie · 18-21, F
Yes, if you take stock in what the Bible said, which I do
firefall · 61-69, M
Sure. Probably by collapse back to a Point Mass and another Big Bang.
taintedprincess · 46-50, F
It is slowly dying.
xRedx · M
@taintedprincess that is true. But also expanding
taintedprincess · 46-50, F
@xRedx yep
lorne13 · 61-69, M
yes, and then the circle starts again
hunkalove · 61-69, M
Any moment now....
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
