I would have people consider what they aren't shown and why not

I just commented on a post where a Japanese says the death penalty is good, and he's never heard of anyone wrongfully convicted. I pointed out that the reason he may not have heard of such a situation is that the awareness of it would come from the same culture that doesn't like to talk about comfort women. Well, soon after, that comment turned to [i]This comment has been deleted by the author of the main post.[/i] [i][b]That[/b][/i] is the epitome of why he's not aware of what is quite probably out there!

But I don't want to point the finger at the Japanese. Plenty of other cultures, nations and regions around the world are populated by those who do not consider what they haven't been told. Sometimes there are things that you haven't heard for reasons [i] other[/i] than that they are untrue. Sometimes it's not what they want you to heard. Sometimes it's not what [i]you[/i] want to hear.
