Do you think your expectations are far too high?

I am trying to get into the mantra: "Never have expectations and you'll never be disappointed."

I have far too high expectations for myself, though I can't accept less.
I'm so much harder on myself than anyone could possibly be.

Mine aren't but they can cause problems for people wanting too much out of like.
