did Thanksgiving cease to exist or something??

About a week from Thanksgiving, the mall next to my apartment complex started allowing kids to take pictures with Santa. Why??? Why are there Christmas trees and Christmas lights everywhere??? Not once have I seen a single Turkey decoration!!

I've never seen people decorate for Thanksgiving with turkeys. Usually I see like generally autumn-themed things, gourds and pumpkins, ears of corn, hay bales, etc.

@BlueMetalChick usually i'd even see these huge blow-up[ Turkeys around town but NOOOOO people insist on having giant Christmas trees out everywhere a day after Halloween
