Are you the real you when online ?

Yup. I can't be anyone else.

I use the name of my fantasy dress-up persona on this site for two reasons: sometimes for cheezy erotic role-play with like-minded queers (see my Charm School posts if innarested -- Please don't if you're not). More often, when I write from my honest observations, the name filters out both the pious Pharisee gender-bigots and those too shallow to look beyond names & images. This comment contains nudity... metaphorically

I don't know - I think that, in all things, I emphasize different aspects and desires of myself at different times and places online, just like in real life. If I'm hanging out with friends, I say something, family another, work a third, and others who have similar interests a fourth. If I'm on SW, I am different than on Facebook, or on Loverslab, or elsewhere. I don't have one online personality alone.

Still, there's a core of my base traits and beliefs, not to mention tone and voice, that seems pretty consistent.

On-line or in person, I am always the real me. However, depending upon the situation the amount of me that I choose to share will differ.

Absolutely. There are things I can say here that I can only wish I could do off line. I hope to change that someday
