Is saying ' A roller coaster-esque... ' correct grammar?

I ... suppose it could be. usually, it's more of a metaphor than that, from what I've seen. e.g. 'an emotional roller coaster' or 'a roller coaster of roadway'. something along those lines.

@Pureblossom I agree with Malcontent in how it is commonly used e.g. emotional rollercoaster but I think it still conveys what you are trying to say.
