What do you think?

I think there is an imbalance in society.

When it comes to truth I think there are a few bad, but prominent, attitudes towards it.

There are quite a few different manifestations of yourself attitudes, but I think, to describe it concisely, that people are either too confident in academic & other authorities' (scientists, politicians, other social leaders) description of truths & their beliefs/theories; too sceptical (to the point of being oppositional) towards truth & all authority, or too indifferent towards it all.

What are your thoughts regarding?

I agree with you. People don't want to think for themselves so they take others ideas and call it good.

There's quite a lot of difference between scientific observations, and the beliefs and assertions of authority figures, and I dont think trying to lump them all into one single thing has the remotest benefit

I never said there wasn't a difference, but socially, there's not a large distinction, which is actually part of the problem as well.

What I'm addressing is the overstrong distrust of scientific study, the overconfidence in it, & the general indifference towards truth & the pursuit of it.

I think these things are bad for society.
