Who wouldve thought that damn fractions and percentages would come and mess me up in University.

DAMNNNNNNNN Does anyone wanna actually help me out here? Cause I'm so confused as to how my lecture got one answer while I got another.
Anyways so this is the lectures question and answer.
32006/(296222 + 371410) x 0.5 x 100 = %9.58

HOWWWWWWWW I KEEP GETTING the answer '2.39'

So confused, man. It's literally 2:47 am and I have a test about this shit tomorrow WHY AM LEAVING THIS TO THE LAST MINUTE AGAIN. I'm hopeless.
Someone, anyone pls help. Or I could probably Google how to do it too... Yeah

Actually - just checked that again. If it is 9.58% then it is

(32006/((29622+371410) x 0.5))x100

Edited oops missed a parenthesis

@Annab I'm not sure the outer parentheses are needed.

In steps -

32006/((296222 + 371410) * 0.5) * 100

32006/(667632 * 0.5) * 100

32006/333816 * 100

then one just works left to right -

0.095879 * 100 = 9.59

Start the calculation farthest in, meaning the values inside the parentheses. Add those together. Then divide the first value by that value, then multiply by the next value, then multiply by the last value.

I don't know how you're getting 9.58 from that.
