Do you ride motorcycles?

My buddy went down last night and almost died. His spine is shattered leg ripped open broke his hand and fractured his face. He has movement in his feet and is in surgery now... Helmet saved his life. Would you be sketched out to get on a bike after that?

In 40 years of riding, I've had a few scares and close calls. Only laid the bike down once, and was going very slowly at the time, because I knew conditions were very slippery in that spot. I think if I did have a crash now, I'd probably quit riding, but mostly because at my age, it would probably take quite a while to recover.

I've ridden on the back of a beautiful Harley, many years ago now, and loved it until our friend ran under a car that pulled over in front of him and stopped. He broke his back and I've never been on one since.
