yeah it is.. for me i need to have a connection to someone. ive spent too much of my life on my own. im so use to it. love would be great to have but without that connection theres nothing. i cant be with someone for the sake of just having something there. i need to have genuine feelings. something real and not forced.

@SW-User No, no, you have it all wrong. Real love doesn't hurt. It is the things you have associated with it that hurt. Infidelity. Hatred. Etc. True love never hurts. I wish I had the words to express this more clearly.

@Indulge what was the red flags

@SW-User The first one was, the fact that his mother didn't like me, because of my race, it didn't affect me at first, but when his mother tried to compete with me in terms of his affection. I thought it was strange and I pointed out to him that his mother and I are two different people and that his love is different for either one of us. The red Flag was he wasn't willing to speak up Like i did with my mother when she expressed that she wasn't happy with him, anyway I could foresee what the future had install, if I married him and that he would be caught in the middle of me and his mother, ever disapproving marriage is hard enough without additional pressure so I left.
The second one was a long distance relationship, the problem with that was there was a real high expectation and unrealistic build up of everything....In particular is the sex department, not knowing each other physically but only in fantasy and words, he started to compare me to his ex, and out of all things he compared me with climaxing, which baffled me at the beginning, i had to know my theory so I tested him and sure enough I was right...that was my red flag....he compares people to each other... I understand there are certain aspects of previous relationships that you might look for or miss in new relationship but there is a reason why one leaves a previous relationship and start a new one, its never wise to compare any relationships coz you restrict yourself from moving forward.

@InShadows for me truly twice.. both hurt like hell.

@SW-User It's true, there is pain, but I wouldn't miss the high just to avoid the low. I appreciate each opportunity I've had to experience it.
