Can you describe where you live

Way out on the country roads, amidst the farm lands stretching far. Large pond outside back door with horse pastures to the right and left. Large creek feeds the pond and three more throughout the property. Ducks tame and wild swim and play... Geese fly overhead at times and White cranes fish along the lily pads as frogs sing jump and splash. An occasional gator will visit from the swamp behind the creek and ponds but it gets coaxed to leave very quickly when seen. Horses graze with no worries in sight and a lazy dog sleeps quietly until time to eat another meal.
In the country, where a traffic jam is getting stuck behind a truck hauling bales of hay. Turkeys meander across the road to check out the farm fields. Herons, like mini pterodactyls, fly overhead searching for food. Frogs and toads illuminate the air with song when the sun settles.

Alas, over the years, I've seen more farms up for sales, and more new subdivisions taking their place. The nearby village, with it's retail, business, and fast food, encroach slowly closer. What was 8 miles away is now 4. The hilly prairies have given way to concrete and asphalt.
A beautiful family home in a beautiful suburb about 30 minutes out if the city. There's lots of trees and gardens where we walk the dogs and occasionally have picnics. :)

I live on a small lake in the south. It's a similar scene except we have no lily pads or gators, roads are wider and our house is in heavy woods.

The suburbs ... tree lined streets with single family homes !!!
Oh my God!!! Trace... adopt me please, and take me there...
That sounds like a dream place to live indeed.

Where I live is rural, in a large city far away from downtown. We have many parks and rivers and ponds even nearby.
I am so grateful for the green things!!!
