Have you ever known anyone with cancer and they chose not to do chemo?

Gentlemickey · 70-79, M
My Gf was so full of cancer that chemo wouldn't even offer her another day. We enjoyed her last two months as best we could. I miss her so much...

A close friend. In the end she decided the chemo was killing her, and destroying her mind. It had caused a stroke. Sadly she died, but more at peace with it the chemo - it had also fed an undetected breast cancer

@SW-User It's a god awful disease ....

@SW-User yeah that's why im against chemo. Sometimes it could kill the person before they would even die of the cancer

@Motleycrue667 It did cause the stroke. She was being treated for ovarian cancer, and the treatment fed the breast cancer :(

Yeah several and they healed.
Motleycrue667 · 46-50, F
That's good. People don't realize chemo is the worst thing you could do if you have it

How long after being diagnosed did she die?
altoncolt · 70-79, M
chemo and radiation is the best thing going... without it you only have Yourself and God ... With it you may die but then you may not... nothing is a guaranteed cure... not even cannabis .. it is not a cure but a treatment .. go sit at a cancer treatment clinic and get to know the people... it will change your life.

I have, but I didn't personally know them.
Magenta · F
Yes, more than one.
Motleycrue667 · 46-50, F
Did they do ok and survive for a few years at least?
Magenta · F
Yes, they survived for a while.
That's horrible gunk to put into one's body just because it seems to be the accepted popular thing to do. No thanks. It can only prolong the inevitable. 😔@Motleycrue667
quinnlynn · 46-50, F
yes, my mom.
Motleycrue667 · 46-50, F
@quinnlynn how did she do? Did she survive a few more years at least?
quinnlynn · 46-50, F
they caught the stage 4 colon cancer so late, by the time she knew, she lasted a couple months.
