What would you do if you caught your kids trying to take your car out for a joyride at night?

He wouldn't see daylight for months

The first time I did that and got caught (think I was 15) I got my ass beat just as you'd expect. That wasn't an effective deterrent for me though. I rolled out many times afterwards. The last time I did it aged 19 my father dragged me out of bed by my neck b/c my drunk ass had damaged his new vehicle in a hit and run. Forget punishment beyond his acid tongue and the marks on my neck. He had to hire a very good attorney to both save my stupid ass from prison and being deported.

From being that wild child though I learned not to leave my keys laying around the house. If I start that wonton habit then now my 1 year old jingles dad's keys as a toy but 10-15 years later he takes off the minute my eyes are closed.

First, I would ask, "How in the hell did you find me?"
Then I would remember that I am childless and call the police.
