I Want to Be Happy

Happiness... How can one truly be happy?
In my opinion i don't think anyone is ever happy.
We live in a society that is filled with lies and hatred.
No one is treated correctly.
At every moment someone is either dying, being bullied, committing suicide or starving to death.
Humans are made to fear rejection but crave affection.

How can someone find happiness without taking chances?
You can't.
Humans also shun anyone who actually takes a chance.
Because of this, no one wants to take a chance in fear of getting rejected.
Thus creating a world where no one is truly happy, but no one really cares.

If humans became less narrow minded they would soon realize what really matters in life.
Only when we accept those who take chances and accept the fear we have for rejection, then we can be truly happy.
until then everyone is masked with fake happiness

There's an old saying, "Happiness is the absence of striving for happiness." Find something positive that you can enjoy and lose yourself in it: write a story, learn to play an instrument, take a martial arts class, whatever reconnects your mind with your body so you don't get lost in your head thinking about things. Remembering and feeling that life is worth living is the first step towards actually dealing with all the world's stoopid problems. When you're happy with who you are it will bring everything else into focus better: you'll see that the self-destruction of modern society is a choice, and you can choose something else that will not only improve your own life but give hope to others. That's how we're meant to live. Not in a fake plastic world.

Also, for the record, at every moment someone is also being born, being comforted, finding a new reason to live, and feeding a stranger.

If that doesn't work, just listen to this song and tell me it doesn't make you happy:

yes fear of rejection is crippling, it stifles all attempt to go forward. People huddle inside their ineffective armour, or in disguise, hoping not to be noticed, hoping that nobody will see their fear. And so we all fear and live in fear, fearing to break the circle of despair.

You are right. Take a chance! Drop the disguise, step out of the armour. Be open to what you might feel, might achieve, and you can have positive life.
