The Sign of Jonah [Spirituality & Religion]

Jesus answered, “A wicked and adulterous generation asks for a sign! But none will be given it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. 40 For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 41 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and now something greater than Jonah is here. 42 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.

43 “When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’ When it arrives, it finds the house unoccupied, swept clean and put in order. 45 Then it goes and takes with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first. That is how it will be with this wicked generation.” Matthew 12:39

Argumentum ad authoritatum fallacy.

As a point of fact, many Atheist know not only the bible better than most Christians , they also know it’s history. I object to the assumption you make that others disagree with you out of ignorance. You don’t hold a monopoly on bible interpretation.

@DocSavage Don't lie that you have studied the Bible, you haven't. Come back when you have read it back to back many times and have studied it for 50 years 5 hours a day!

@Carazaa
Tell me, has it changed any since the first time you read it ?
Have you read any other religious text, other than the bible? Not everyone on earth is a Christian, and Christianity is not the first and only religion on the planet.

@DocSavage Most born again christians read the Bible every day a few times a day, no atheists do that.

@DocSavage In college over 30 years ago I read many books from other religions because I wanted to know about them. But for the last 35 years I have studied Gods word in detail daily, go to Bible studies weekly.

@Carazaa
Naturally. We’re Atheist. We read it, didn’t care for it, and moved on. We read other books , expand our knowledge and experience. You make it sound like a sin.
You fail to understand, there is nothing an Atheist can’t do, that a Christian can. At least, anything that would make a difference. I have no need for prayer after all.

@Carazaa Has it changed the last time I read the Bible? Are you kidding? God has told us that he will hide secrets in the Bible until the last generation. And now since we are coming to the end he is disclosing Genesis, Daniel, ezekiel, Matthew, Peter, The book of Revelation, and many other books to us. He says The beginning tells the end. We are at the end now. We are discovering in the first verse when Jesus is coming back. I will post a video of a very bright Bible scholar who is studying Genesis to find out the end.
