Once there was a man named Jonah! He was a Godly man so God asked him to go to Nineveh and tell them to repent or He would destroy their city! [Spirituality & Religion]

But Jonah was scared of the Ninevites because they were very violent and mean. Jonah said "What if they get angry with me, and kill me?" So Jonah ran away to a port and jumped on a boat. God was angry with Jonah so he created a storm. Jonah understood that God was angry and he felt bad for all the people on the ship being in a storm because of him so he said. "I have sinned and ran from God, throw me overboard and the storm will stop". So they threw him overboard. He was swallowed by a huge fish and stayer in the fish 3 days until he repented and prayed to the Lord and agreed to go to Nineveh and warn them about the disaster coming if they don't repent. The fish spit him out onto the beach. He went to Nineveh and told them that God would destroy them because of their sins. The Ninevites got on their knees and repented and cried out to God, and asked God to save them from the disaster. God saved them and did not do what he had planned to do, kill all of them. Sounds like extortion to me, like the Mafia.
Carazaa · F
@Allelse The Nivevites were mafia, yeah!

@Carazaa No God is, God is all "Do what I want or I'll wipe you out with plague".
Carazaa · F
@Allelse You got it! He is Holy, we are sinful!

@Allelse

Have you ever pruned a tree? Are you worth more than a dead branch?

"John 15:5-9 5"I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. 8This is to my Father's glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples. 9"As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love."

@Carazaa So now you're saying we should beat people for their own good?
Carazaa · F
@Allelse Do you ever prune a tree? Do you even kill a roach? Do you ever step on ants? You think God should save you? Why should he save you?
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Carazaa No I hate gardening, I'd rather let em grow and no I don't anything, I avoid stepping on ants, roaches, you name it. The only thing I kill is mosquitos and that's because they try to drink my blood.

@Carazaa what I don’t do is murder people because they violate rules that I made up.

Even if I did such a thing, I wouldn’t have the temerity to justify my behaviour by blaming my victims, and nor would I claim it was for their own good
Allelse · 36-40, M
@newjaninev2 This right here.
Carazaa · F
@Allelse If you kill mosquitoes then who are you to tell God what to do with you? You think you are better than a mosquito?
Carazaa · F
@newjaninev2 You are not God who made the world, and I bet you have pruned a tree and thrown the branches away that are no good. Do you think you are better than a dead branch?

More to the point, why doesn’t your god think that?
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Carazaa I've never created anything that can think and feel pain, only to destroy it once it didn't meet my standards for it. The god in your story did, which is fucked up. As for mosquitos, well, if I ever try and drink their blood they can have a go at killing me and I wont get angry about it.
Carazaa · F
@Allelse You can't create anything live by yourself because you are not God, nor do you know his mind!
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Carazaa It's wrong to cause suffering and the god in your stories creates ALOT of suffering. By making beings that can feel pain, he is creating suffering.
Carazaa · F
@Allelse It's a just God who punishes sin and Jesus is the vine and we are the branches. He cuts down the branches and burns them which do not produce fruit. This is good!
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Carazaa If the god in your story have never created anything that can suffer, then there'd be no suffering. But he chose to create beings that can suffer and that's fucked up.
Carazaa · F
@Allelse You are not God! He is!
Allelse · 36-40, M
@Carazaa Also the god in your story is all knowing and all powerful, so when he created humans he did so in such a way that they would fail the standards he set for them, and then he went on to punish them for it i.e the great flood and so on.
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@Carazaa
He cuts down the branches and burns them which do not produce fruit. This is good!
Your death-worshipping sect is disgusting

Why haven’t you blocked me? Why did you lie and promise to block me and to keep me blocked? Why did you go back on your word? Were you just lying for Jesus (as usual)?
Carazaa · F
@newjaninev2 Have a wonderful day 🤗

@Carazaa To the frustration and annoyance of creationists... I will
