@Carazaa I'm glad you enjoyed the sunset pic, when my dad died last year I had that picture and verse printed on the order of service at the funeral. His pastor who took the service mentioned it at the end of the message and challenged everyone there, asking if they knew they were going to heaven like dad did!
Very moving

Yes it is a loving Gift from God.. Who provided the Atonement to pay the penalty for our sins.. Sadly a lot of people can't believe this and i mean religious people also when i say they.. They cling on to the belief that they secure their own salvation by doing good deeds and avoidance of sinning..
In doing so they disbelieve in the sufficiency of the Atonement of the LORD Jesus Christ to save them and instead rely on their efforts but as the Word of God says::
Isaiah 64: {6} But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away."
Seeking eternity by doing the Law is guaranteeing ones condemnation..
(Romans 3:19-25) "Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God. {20} Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in His sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. {21} But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; {22} Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: {23} For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; {24} Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: {25} Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;"

It depends on the situation, if I'm dangling from a cliff, I save myself by pulling myself up. If you're talking about spiritual salvation there's very little I can do beyond believing and trusting

I hear again and again god atoned for my sins that jesus died for my sins .First i wasn't even born then ,second if he paid for my sins why must i pay again and again for my sins even for my fathers sin? It just doesn't make sense.

@kodiac
Jesus paid the eternal price for ones sins..
But in this world we sometimes have to face very unpleasant consequences for our sins..
So while we may pay a steep penalty in this world as a result of our sins, With Jesus as our LORD and Redeemer we shall not have to pay the far greater and far more terrible eternal penalty for our sins..

@Carazaa
You need to be very thankful
I'm glad we do have freedom of speech but that has nothing to do with your god and is in spite of christian attempts to suppress it. As soon as christians gained military power, they set about killing non-believers. The so-called "witch hunts" are one example.
