"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask." [Spirituality & Religion]

I love the Book of James. It reflects the teachings of Christ. Sometimes we just don't know what to do, or how to pray. And it is in those difficult or grievous times, God's Word tells us that if we are following and living for Christ, the Holy Spirit within us, actually prays for us, on our behalf, when we don't know how to pray, "with groanings that cannot be expressed in words." Romans 8:26

Our spirit knows God's Spirit, due to our listening, when He tugged at our heart to repent, then asked for forgiveness, which brought our spirit into fellowship with His. That is such a beautiful union, coming together as one, in the Spirit. Never to be separated again.

Some get the idea that God is just waiting to find fault with us, so He can remind us how sinful we are, and keep beating us over the head with our sins. Yet, the Lord showed just the opposite, when a woman was brought to him as he taught in the temple; the Pharisees demanding she be stoned for committing adultery. And He said to the crowd, "Whosoever of you, has not sinned in your life, cast the first stone." One by one, they lowered their arms. And then they left.

Next he went over to the woman, screamed at her, spit on her and beat her. Is that what happened?  No. He lovingly smiled at her:

"And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.

10 When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, "Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?"

11 She said, "No man, Lord." And Jesus said unto her, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."

It is a perfect love, and perfect love casts out all fear. When the bible says to fear God, it is not referring to being scared of Him. Fear of God means we are to show reverence, honor, and respect to Him. Not to any other person or people, for He is a constant companion, who promised to never abandon us, so He is constantly by your/our side, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. He never sleeps. Never. So we love and worship Him, never out of fear, but out of our great love for Him, and for His great sacrifice He and His Son, made for us, just so we could live with Him in total peace and joy in Heaven, for eternity.

God's Word was meant to be man's Roadmap for Life. It shows a way that if we follow, we shall not fail. We may stumble and fall at times, but that is a good thing, because that is the way we learn and grow, but then we are honored to learn from Him, and He gives us the strength to get back up and get back on the right path in a very loving way. He holds no grudges. Like a Father should, His love never dies for us. He smiles and tells how great we learned our lesson, and to simply get back up and try again.

He is a great Father and Teacher. He understands that in order to do better, we must first learn from life's lessons how to do better. When you know better, you do better. He does not get mad at us. And with that, the adulteress left. See how lovingly He treated her? He understands us, because he lived amongst us. He understands our every emotion, because he has experienced them, himself.

When we need wisdom, pray for it. God's Word is a Lamp unto our feet, and a Light unto our path. Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. He turns no one away.
@Adstar It does not tell us if she sinned no more, you are right, but she did call him Lord. That tells me she recognized him for who he was. She didn't call him Jesus. She acknowledged him as Lord.

As far as atonement, Jesus made atonement for our sins through his sacrificial death. He paid for our sins once and for all. We don't keep making atonement for our sins. However, when we do sin, we ask for forgiveness, so that fellowship can be restored.

Nice post 😊.. But in truth we do not know if that asulteress left and sinned no more.. In fact no one ever stops sinning completely.. Thats why we are always in the constant need of the Atonement of our LORD Jesus..
