Though the creationist denies evolution, he can very seldom refute the evidence for it. [Spirituality & Religion]

If you deny evolution, how do you refute the evidence we have for it in the for of fossils and genetics?
Is your denial based on the evidence or is it based on a pre-existing world view?
Speedyman · 70-79, M
I’ve told you before about being careful about using this term evolution because we know evolution happens through natural selection. What we are questioning is Darwinism which we know did not happen as Darwin said. We know through fossil evidence at least a gradualism didn’t happen. Things like the Cambrian explosion tell us that it wasn’t gradual like Darwin said it was. The problem is that you asked too many simplistic questions without realising there are huge complicated answers that Darwinist simply haven’t solved. The very fact that you say that unguided forces can produce things like personality and intelligence without having personality and intelligence themselves always seems to me completely incomprehensible. Have you got an explanation for that? There are things that Darwinist need to explain themselves without this rather arrogant attitude that creationists of got to do all the explaining. So please tell me how unguided forces can produce personality and intelligence
@Speedyman You’re sounding like pfuzylogic with the ‘you’re not qualified’ line.

Well do you think he is?@wilderflower
@Speedyman You sounded like him with that statement but you‘re much more of a gentleman than he’ll ever be.

as a christian i think others trying to deny evolution on all levels is stupid, if there was no evolution , there wouldnt be differing races, nor would there be any dogs. i think christians just run away from the word just because of its association with athiests, which is dumb
@HeWhoLaughs

Yeah like most people at that time and place he was a christian.

I never grew up in that kind of environment. It must be frustrating.
I've heard that sentiment a lot from deniers of evolution: you don't want to believe in god so you try to replace him with evolution.
HeWhoLaughs · 26-30, M
@Pikachu there is definitely a community of very hostile and non-trusting christians, one i clearly was born into, and i get tired of the idea that its science vs Christianity, which sounds dumb, all these people that are so afraid of change that they refuse to be open to new thoughts. i know that used to scare me before i opened up was the idea that "atheists will make me question my faith" and its still an idea i have to force back due to my anxiety today
@HeWhoLaughs

Yeah those communities exist in every group of people i think.

Evolution isn't exactly the easiest of subject to follow. The problem with refuting evolution is, there are scientists on both sides of the fence. There are those who support it and those who refute it, and there is evidence on both sides. It comes down to what one believes, nothing more, nothing less. Thats why I decided not to refute evolution based on my previous response and the scientific evidence against it. Evolution is too widespread with differing opinions.
@Reverend

I totally get it. Our early upbringing and education is incredibly potent and very hard to move past.
I'm thankful that my parents neither pushed no disparaged religion. I think it's left me as one of the lucky ones who's genuinely had the chance to make up their own mind.
Reverend · M
@Pikachu it was the same for me. My parents weren't religious in any way but also didn't discourage it. It was my choice to attend church. Some of the stuff taught is out if this world.
@Reverend

I think a lot of good can come from religion. I just think it's wrong when it leads us to believe things which are contradicted by evidence in the world around us.
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
It's already been refuted. What more can we do to refute that nonexistent evidence for evolution?
@GodSpeed63 Then maybe you’ll start behaving like a man and answer this question: do you read and follow every word of the bible?
GodSpeed63 · 61-69, M
@wilderflower
Then maybe you’ll start behaving like a man
I've been more of man than you have been a woman. Enough of that already. When you're ready to have a decent conversation, let me know.
@GodSpeed63 So do you read and follow every word of the bible?
Ynot1more · 46-50, M
Lol that's easy.... Adam and eve had kane and abel.... who they marry and procreate with but the heathens also known as evolutionists.... just one of several thousand arguements that can and had been used.... you can believe in God have faith and still acknowledge science...

People who propagate Darwinism like you do are usually ignorance of the arguments against it. They have been taught it in school and swallowed it gullibly I never really looked at the other side and the faults in the arguments against Darwinism. Then of course they think that anyone who talks against it is close minded when of course it is themselves @SW-User

Easy. God put it there and its not for us to question his reasons because.......well, just because!
@whowasthatmaskedman

sneaky god!

The fossils are very cool.

If evolution ever was real, bleeding heart liberals seem to have put a stop to natural selection. They keep protecting those with weak genetics - and they multiply!

That's how we end up with knobs like Peek-a-boo.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Budwick And you are absolutely right. Western cultures breed in defects at one end , while Asian numbers climb. Thats Darwin in action..
@Budwick

lol aww bud.😂 Do i really rob you of reason so easily?
