While there may be lots of ways to feel "fulfilled and connected", none can substitute for the love and peace, Jesus gives. Not even money or fame. That's why we sometimes read about rich, dead movie stars.

[/center] Nothing satisfies like Jesus can, because when this life is over, all souls and all spirits will return to Him. He knows how to satisfy our spirit. He knows how to calm our fears, our restless spirit, and fill us with peace and love that passes all understanding. He knows every intricate part of our heart and soul, the very depth of our being. Our every need.
@SW-User Jesus mentioned in His Word that we only live once, then the resurrection into eternal life. Many are not aware of that. Once He is accepted as our personal Savior, the blessings and guidance of the Holy Spirit placed in us as a free gift of God, and eternal life with Him, start immediately and continue. Many mistakes that to mean that we will never have any problems or that we'll never sin again. We will. That will always be a part of our nature while we're still in this flesh, until we go home to Heaven. However, the Holy Spirit in us gives us the strength and victory to overcome temptation, if we exercise our faith in that gift and resist temptation.
@SW-User Honey, so much NONE of us knew, until Jesus transformed us by His Spirit, which also [b]teaches[/b] us about the things of the spirit and heaven.
Before I was saved, I knew nothing. I did not even realize or even know it was even [b]possible[/b] to have a relationship with God, through my own faith and my spirit connecting with His (praying). I had no idea until I experienced Jesus. I never in a million years would have guessed that Jesus could bring my spirit alive and help me to understand the things of the spirit. Spirit understands spirit. It is nothing short of a miracle and it's so easy to have.
If you can understand this. First we are born of the flesh, that is, out of our mother's womb. But we also have a [b]spiritual[/b] side of us that needs to be awakened and connected to Jesus, in order to know Him and be with Him. And only Jesus can do that.
There's what we call a "veil" which separates us from Jesus in heaven. That "veil" is sin. Sin is the only thing that separates us from Jesus. There can be no sin in heaven, or it would not be heaven, right? So when we ask Jesus to forgive us of our sins, he cleanses us of them and washes them all away. Forgets every sin we've ever committed. That's why it is called being "born again". THIS time, our spirit is "born" or made alive, by Jesus. That brings us into fellowship with Jesus and HIS spirit.
