I saw a post and a person said we stay in sin until with die . Could someone elaborate that please? [Spirituality & Religion]

I thought you could overcome it . That what I thought.
I'm sick of this life being honest. If that's being ungrateful well I am .
In order to answer that, one must look for the truth and Jesus said He is the truth, the way, and the life. So if you want to know the answer, the answers are in God's word, not in this world. Jesus said in his very Word, that while sin is in our flesh until we get new, resurrected bodies, He will still give those who are "born-again" and want to do His will, POWER to OVERCOME TEMPTATION...not get rid of it completely. You are not understanding what Grace means. ONE of the things Grace means, is that it is GOD who keeps you in right standing with Him, because of JESUS'S work on the cross that paid for your sins. Not because you earned it. You can't...but Jesus could. Do NOT allow Satan to accuse you anymore! Because the very second you said "I do" to Jesus, His Father saw you as righteousness! BECAUSE of Jesus.

Did you EARN your salvation? No! Then you cannot LOSE what you did not earn. There's no such thing as being "UN-born again." Here`s the way God sees you right now and always:

Don't put a question mark where God puts a period. Jesus never said we'd never sin. He said He would help us overcome, through prayer, when we're tempted. He said He conquered sin for us, so that His blood sacrifice covers ALL our sins when we've been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb....past, present, and future sins....that is the power of God, Jesus's blood, and His grace! So when we sin, we never lose our salvation. We lose fellowship, temporarily, and THAT is why we pray for forgiveness. So FELLOWSHIP can be restored...NOT our salvation. Our salvation is secure. This is why it is called ETERNAL LIFE... that we inherit upon our confession of sins and forgiveness of them. It begins the second you accept Jesus as your personal Savior. It's God's promise to us, in His Word, and He is no liar. He is sinless...incapable of lying.

Knowing Jesus loves you even when you mess up, and He doesn't hold grudges, brings that peace you seek. Do not allow nor listen, when Satan whispers the lie in your ear that you are guilty after you've asked for forgiveness. The power of the blood of Jesus to erase and forgive us of our sins, shows differently. GOD'S GRACE remembers our sins no more. There is NO MORE CONDEMNATION, So stop beating yourself up when you make a mistake. That's the way we learn and grow in Christ. Without lessons, we'd never learn. When you sin, what you are feeling is not condemnation from God, but the results of how sin makes us feel. Huge difference, but that's natural. That is what helps us remember not to make the same mistake again. It causes our spirit to temporarily lose fellowship with God and that is why we feel so bad. Never because he abandoned us or condemns us. He is with us until the end of the world. Matthew 28:20
ALL the answers you seek, Jesus said, are in HIS WORD. Not from the varied opinions of those who think they know God and what His Word says, or all the different religions of the world, but don't. Follow Him and His advice, and you CANNOT go wrong. For example....JESUS said....

Sin is our nature not our actions. Our actions stem from our nature. A washed pig returns to its wallow. A dog returns to its vomit.

@hippyjoe1955 so does that mean we have to go against or nature cause being honest I dont want to sin but when I do I feel awful . It's like constant torture, no peace and I thought the whole point of life is to be peaceful
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@riseofthemachine What it means is we need to ask for a new nature. One will be provided if you ask.

Other people's opinions are just that "opinions". Most don't even understand what being born again means or that all religions teach it. When is fully reborn then we have overcome sin.
Many will be surprised on judgement day that being reborn doesn't mean reciting the sinners prayer. The sinners prayer is an invention of Billy Sunday and made popular during Billy Graham's crusades.

@curiosi your good . Thanks .
curiosi · 61-69, F
@riseofthemachine 1 Peter4:1 Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
@curiosi God Almight that's brilliant. I'm definitely done with sin so cause my body at times goes into serious pain .

There's no such thing as a state of sin. That's part of the scam many religions use.
riseofthemachine · 41-45, M
@Success it's mainly to scare the crap out of you . Or my right ?
Success · 26-30, F
@riseofthemachine It's to sell us the solution for a problem that doesn't actually exist. The closest commercial comparison would be a shampoo that prevents dandruff. Exfoliation of the scalp is crucial to hair growth.
Christianity is full of contradictions. Ignore it.
@riseofthemachine Look in the mirror and tell yourself “I’m all I need”
Problem solved.
